Hello, it's been a long time since my last post, but my computer crashed. I've been without a computer for weeks now, and I still don't have one, but I think I'll get mine back this week. It's creating a few problems. For one, I've been on duty for the past week, and that's 24 hour call, and because of the holidays, it's been very busy. I've been lucky to get on a computer that I could actually use for personal business. Because of that, I'm late announcing the winner of December's contest. Those congratulations go out to Jayda, who has won an e-book copy of Sleeping With Skeletons. I will be e-mailing her that copy shortly. Another problem is this blog. I am unable to remove Merry Christmas because Blogger wants to know what image I want to have removed. That image was on my computer, and, of course, that crashed. Most of that is backed up, but right now, I don't have access to it. So, it looks like it's going to be Christmas around here for a while.

Nothing worse than losing a computer! I'm putting together a new computer for my husband this weekend. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you as well...I totally understand the whole HORROR of the dreaded Computer "CRASH". It has happened to me 3 times over the years & now I'm obsessive about backing things up several times. Hopefully you will be happily surfing away shortly. Trying to stay warm here in WNY (20 miles SE of Buffalo/Niagara Falls area) wicked cold this month with the past few days not making it much above 10 degrees F. At night the house pops & snaps from the extreme cold...I've been wearing 3 bathrobes, flannel PJs, socks & slippers, blanket, & several furry "hot water bottles" that have a wonderful "massage & vibration" setting, LOL!!!

Har! That's hilarious. I want one of those furry "hot water bottles"... which sounds suspiciously like a purring/padding cat to me. Unfortunately, my last cat died the day before Thanksgiving. That was far worse than my computer crash. Although, the whole computer thing was pretty awful too. But, like you, I'm obsessive about backing everything up. So nothing was really lost.
It's been wicked cold here too. I'm convinced we've entered our next ice age. But it has finally warmed up, and things aren't freezing anymore. I can actually feel my fingers and toes again... and the blue discoloration is finally gone.

Sure hope things are better by now. I hate to think of losing my computer..I love to be here and meet new people and find out about new books. I am on this alot more since I retired but it's so much fun. Happy New Year 2010 to you and yours. susan L.

I did get my computer back a few days ago, but I'm not on it much. My long separation from the world wide web seems to have cured me of my computer addiction.
